Mulled Cider (Drinks (Non-Alcoholic))

Recipe:

Yield: 4 servings

• 1 quart cider
• 1/4 cup orange juice
• 1 tablespoon brown sugar
• 1-1/2 teaspoons cinnamon
• 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
• 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
• 4 to 6 cinnamon sticks (optional, for garnish)

(I sometimes put orange wedges and apple chunks in while it’s heating)

Combine all ingredients except cinnamon sticks in saucepan and heat to boiling. Remove from heat and set aside for 15 minutes to 1 hour to allow flavors to blend. When ready to serve, reheat cider, pour into mugs, and place a cinnamon stick in each mug.
